Chris, I still like Teaching Textbooks. It does not seem to be advanced though it covers many areas (Rachel just started with some geometry). So if math is Nolan's "thing" definitely do the placement test and see if he would be level 6 rather than 5. We are doing level 5 and it has been good for building Rachel's confindence. She is more of a language arts girl than a math girl though. :)
I do love how it builds review into the practice problems. So even though the new material is geometry, it still makes her practice multiplication and word problems. And I still make her do math fact practice daily just because I'm mean like that! LOL!
