We Got Snow!!!

Hooray! My girls were so excited this morning when they got up! It's our first snow of the year. Actually, some years we get no snow and it rarely snows more than a couple of times at the most. It seems our "winter weather" is usually a nasty ice storm. So when we see the white stuff, it's BIG NEWS!!! Betsie loves it but she gets SO COLD! Rachel and Mary Evelyn have been in and out all day, but they are having so much fun. They managed to make a pretty impressive snow lady, but we don't have a decent hill for sledding...of course we don't have a sled either. But they are enjoying themselves and we have lots of blessings for our blessing jar today.

that's great Jen!! A little bit of the white stuff is so much better than an ice storm! And a lot more fun! If you want an impromptu sled have the girls use a piece of cardboard (like from a big card box) won't last long, but it'll do in a pinch. ;) Looks like the girls are having fun!! Here it's just COLD! I swear if it's going to be this cold, I'd prefer a bit of the snow once in awhile to make it worth it!

Cool snow person. I busted my rumpus going to the mail box. I think I better stay in before I hurt myself. I glad the girls are having fun.

Great snowman! And Dr. Pepper needs to go in the blessing jar, too, eh? :)

Oh we are so jealous over here in East TN!!! We were supposed to get snow...I guess it missed us and hit your area! All we got was cold yucky rain and a tiny bit of frost! Your snowman is SO CUTE, though!! Great job, girls!!

Jen, that is one impressive snow man! You tell your girls that this born & bred New Englander said so! :)

Glad you were able to have fun!

Wow! Y'all got a lot more snow than we did! What fun!!!

Your banner is really cute too - please tell me it's new and that I haven't just missed it. :silly:

I love the service pic of your daughters. We need to find ways to incorporate more of that into our family time.

Love,
